Terms of Use – Freeck

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Freeck mobile application (“the App”).
By using the App, you agree to these Terms.


1. Definitions

  • App: Freeck mobile application.
  • User: any person using the App.
  • Event: third-party event using the App to manage access or authorizations.
  • Authorizations / Tickets: digitally signed tokens stored locally or in Firebase.

2. Purpose of the App

Freeck allows users to:

  • create an account
  • receive event access authorizations
  • display QR codes
  • support offline validation by event staff

No real payments are processed in the test phase.


3. Access Requirements

To use the App, the User must have:

  • a compatible smartphone
  • Internet connectivity for sync
  • a valid Firebase account

Access may be suspended in case of misuse.


4. User Account

The User agrees to:

  • provide accurate information
  • not impersonate others
  • keep login credentials secure

The developer may delete accounts violating these Terms.


5. Personal Data

Data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available in the App.


6. Security

The User acknowledges that:

  • QR codes must not be shared with others
  • offline tokens may expire
  • offline mode may delay synchronization

Absolute security cannot be guaranteed.


7. Responsibilities

7.1 User responsibility

The User is responsible for:

  • use of their device
  • safeguarding QR codes
  • keeping credentials confidential

7.2 Developer responsibility

The developer:

  • aims to ensure proper functioning
  • cannot guarantee the absence of bugs
  • is not liable for:
    • offline sync errors
    • data loss due to device issues
    • temporary Firebase outages
    • fraudulent use of QR codes by third parties

During the test phase, the App is provided “as is”, without warranties.


8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • the developer is not liable for indirect damages
  • cumulative liability is limited to EUR 50 (test phase)

9. Intellectual Property

The source code, logos, branding, and designs are protected.
No reproduction is allowed without prior consent.


10. Account Deletion

Users may request deletion via [email].
Deletion will remove:

  • Firebase account data
  • all authorizations/tokens

11. Changes to the Terms

Terms may be updated.
The version displayed in the App is the most current.


12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Belgian law.
Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of Brussels courts.
